Blue Industrial Bath
For this remodeled bathroom, Barbara chose an industrial vibe using cool shades of blue and gray along with warm wood tones. The rustic "wood look" floor tiles anchor the color scheme and elongate the room. For continuity, the shower floor is also tiled in a mosaic pattern the same shade as the floors.
To bring in some color, Barbara introduced a beautiful blue glass floating vanity which matches the rectangular glossy tiles on two of the shower walls. "Sugar cube" mosaic tiles protect the wall above the shower as well as add accent to the vanity backsplash and shower niche.
Fixtures are polished chrome, echoing the brackets on the industrial feel mirror over the vanity. Modern sconces by Robern offer task lighting in addition to a built-in night light option. A seeded glass pendant in the window seat area offers overhead lighting but doesn't block the view through the tall window.
One the window seat, Barbara chose a pinch-pleated indoor/outdoor fabric in white. Two throw pillows sit atop the seat cushion; one in a blue/gray linen blend and the second in a cream cotton with blue/green running stitch accents.
