Cambridge Open Floor Renovation
This project’s primary goal was to create the peaceful, unencumbered, flexible, spaces that were central to the clients’ vision in this open floor plan home. A light color scheme unifies the first floor while making it appear larger and airier, while pops of color from furnishings enliven the spaces. Low, modern furniture maintains unimpeded visual flow in the newly open spaces. Furnishings may be easily reconfigured for optimum flexibility.
The dining room features a distinctive, handcrafted table that is extraordinarily durable. When not in use for entertaining or family dinners, the dining room becomes a project space. The tea cart holding the flowers in these photos provides additional serving capabilities without adding visual weight.
