Elza B. Design was proud to design and exhibit our tabletop for the Third Annual Heading Home to Dinner, October 3-4, 2019 at the Boston Design Center. The event raised over $170,000 for the Heading Home organization, a non-profit that re-houses and provides a supported pathway to self-sufficiency for young families in the Boston area.

Barbara’s theme “Main Course: Food for Thought” featured an arrangement to encourage “the critical conversations we need to have, the books and articles we need to read, and the importance of art and culture as nourishment.”

Surrounding the table were our custom Parisienne chairs designed by Barbara Elza Hirsch for Dowel Furniture. The dried Hydrangea and ornamental grass arrangement and wicker light pendants injected a natural element to the design and paired well with the black plates, gold utensils and glassware. The custom black and white bowls added both glam and whimsy with their gold rims and graphic design.
